More Free Corky Events!

 

THIRD EVENT :

Saltspring Island, B.C.
Saturday May 26th
Ganges Saturday Market, Centenial Park
8 am - 3 pm

Each day this week the Corky's FREEDOM bus has visited the schools of Saltspring Island. Sections of Corkys banner surrounds a multi-media presentation at each school, so we can share the knowledge of Orcas
learned at Orcalab and compare the story of Corky in San Diego Sea World with life in the wild. The children of Saltspring were thrilled to learn, and enthusiatic about adding their own patches to the banner.

FOURTH EVENT :

Fort Rodd Hill, Esquimalt, Songhees, Victoria, B.C.
Saturday June 2nd
Salish Sea Festival
10 am - 5 pm, or come early to help hang banner

School children, parents, teachers and community groups will gather to celebrate the marine environment at the Salish Sea Festival. The Festival will showcase the work that students from the four area districts of Saanich, Sooke, Victoria and Gulf Islands are doing to raise awareness about marine conservation and other environmental issues. Children's Choirs will perform with Holly Arntzen, Cowichan Elder Abner Thorne and world class musicians. 6,000 people will follow Corkys banner onto the Festival site.
